RATING: 2
REASON: I rate this recommender system a 2 because it failed to understand my movie preferences and consistently recommended movies that I disliked. As an incredibly elusive occasional viewer, I have very specific tastes and preferences when it comes to movies. I enjoy dark and thought-provoking films, appreciate unconventional and indie movies, and have a preference for psychological dramas. However, the recommender system consistently suggested movies that did not align with my taste, such as American Psycho, Final Destination, Gladiator, The Next Best Thing, My Dog Skip, Any Given Sunday, Where the Heart Is, and Remember the Titans.

Additionally, the system did not take into account my previous ratings and dislikes. Despite rating High Fidelity and Requiem for a Dream positively, the system continued to recommend movies that I had already expressed dislike for. This lack of personalization and understanding of my preferences left me unsatisfied with the recommendations.

Furthermore, the system did not provide any variety or diversity in its recommendations. As an exceedingly discerning selective viewer, I appreciate movies that challenge the norm and offer something different. However, the system consistently suggested mainstream and popular movies that did not offer the level of uniqueness I seek in my movie choices.

Overall, the recommender system failed to meet my expectations and did not provide accurate and personalized recommendations. It lacked understanding of my preferences, ignored my previous ratings and dislikes, and did not offer any variety in its suggestions. Therefore, I rate this recommender system a 2.
