Make a pet

Drop a finished sprite sheet, or stitch one from separate frames. We slice it, you name it, and it lands in the registry and in the app.

How to make a pet

A pet is one transparent PNG sprite sheet: each row is an animation, each column a frame, with transparent gaps between frames. You only upload the PNG, we generate the pet.json for you.

Make one with AI (ChatGPT)

Tested with ChatGPT, works with any image AI that can look at an attached picture and generate one. Do it in two steps so the AI locks onto the format first.

Step 1. Attach the sample sheet above to ChatGPT and have it study the layout:

Analyze this sprite sheet image. Describe its layout: each ROW is one animation (idle, run, wave, jump, sad, eat, etc.), the frames in a row are that animation's steps left to right, the background is fully transparent, and every frame is the same size. I'll then ask you to create a new one in exactly this format.

Step 2. Attach a picture of your character (or just describe it) and ask for the sheet:

Now create a NEW pixel-art character sprite sheet using the SAME layout as the sheet I gave you:
- Same rows-as-animations structure (idle, walk, wave, jump, sad, eat...), each row a row of frames left to right.
- Fully transparent background, with clear transparent gaps between every frame.
- Consistent frame size, character centred, chibi pixel-art style.
Character: [describe your character, or "the character in the attached image"].
Output ONE transparent PNG sprite sheet.

Download the PNG it makes, then drop it into Upload a sheet. The preview plays each animation, so you can check it before posting. If only one frame shows up, the background was not transparent: ask the AI for a transparent background, or clean it with remove.bg.

No image-to-image AI? Make single frames instead and let us stitch them: ask for separate frames, then use Build from frames.

Draw a desktop-pet character as a SET of separate images, one pose per image, each on a fully transparent background (PNG with alpha, no background colour, no shadow, no border).

Rules:
- Same character, art style, colours and scale in every image; only the pose changes.
- Square canvas, character centred with a little padding, identical size every time.
- Clean cut-out edges so the background stays fully transparent.

Make these frames, one image each:
- idle: 2 frames (a tiny breathing/bob difference)
- walk: 4 frames
- happy: 1 frame
- sleep: 1 frame
