Reference for the epic. A Claude session hits its usage limit on work2claude. A limit strip above the composer replaces the in-chat error. You can switch the session to another Claude account, after a confirm that spells out what carries over, or resume on the same account at reset, by hand or automatically. The strip disappears once the session moves on, leaving a one-line divider in the transcript.
| Settings | When the limit hits |
|---|---|
| Both off (default) | Frame A: the limit strip with Switch account and Resume at reset. |
| Auto-resume on | Frame E: the strip opens already scheduled, with Cancel auto-resume. |
| Auto-switch on, an account in the order has quota | Frame G: no strip, no dialog. The session moves; a divider and a toast say so. |
| Auto-switch on, every account limited | Falls through to auto-resume if on (frame E), otherwise frame A. Resume targets the original account's reset. |
Cut off by usage limit and stays open until Claude answers it. The limit can land mid-turn, so it is never re-sent: resume says “Continue where you left off.”, a switch hands it over with a note that some work may be done, and a new message carries a hidden note that it is still open. Dismiss on the tag drops it.| Where | Text |
