It is not a code module in the traditional sense, but rather a living markdown file maintained by AI agents and human developers to coordinate development efforts, track progress, define architectural guidelines, and enforce coding standards.

Audience: This document is primarily for AI agents contributing to the Code Buddy project, as well as human developers who need to understand the project's current state, architecture, and development workflow.

2. Document Structure

COLAB.md is organized into several key sections, each serving a distinct purpose in guiding and documenting the Code Buddy project's development:

  1. Application Audit: Provides a snapshot of the project's current state, including statistics, completed sprints, and identified strengths and issues.
  2. Architecture Overview: Details the high-level design of the Code Buddy agent, its core components, and the integration of Native Engine modules.
  3. Restructuration Plan (v2): Outlines a detailed, iteration-based plan for Phase 2 development, including objectives, files to modify, and acceptance criteria for each task.
  4. AI Collaboration Rules: Establishes non-negotiable "Hard Rules," a handoff protocol for agents, an iteration checklist, and code standards.
  5. Work Log: A chronological record of completed iterations, detailing the agent responsible, duration, changes made, and verification steps.
  6. Quick Reference: Provides essential commands, key file locations, and environment variables for quick developer access.
