  - It connects directly through Agent Deck’s public CLI.
  - Your existing local and SSH sessions appear without importing or duplicating them.
  - Operational changes stay synchronized with the TUI.
  - Closing the app leaves sessions running.

  The rollout is now explicit in the plan (/tmp/exec-macapp-codex/CODEX-PLAN.html): controlled testing on the build Mac, then your daily use, then a private preview for friends using
  their own Agent Deck installations.

  One important caveat: some features need new public CLI commands. The preview must clearly state which Agent Deck version it requires and must never silently replace anyone’s
  installation.

  Friend testing will include installation, existing-session discovery, SSH, synchronization, and safe uninstall, with simple bug-report instructions.

• Yes, we can start a bounded first development phase. We should not start the entire app in parallel yet.

  The first phase should:

  1. Finalize the CLI-first contracts and remove conflicting daemon-first instructions.
  2. Establish isolated build-Mac and SSH testing.
  3. Build the native shell, connect to existing Agent Deck sessions, and embed SwiftTerm.
  4. Verify app/TUI synchronization and session survival after quitting.
  5. Add Claude live/history conversations once the Recall contract is settled.

  Each slice must include actual app execution, visual inspection, and evidence before being marked complete.

  The direction is settled enough to begin this way. Full parity, other harness renderers, and friend distribution follow through their defined gates. I haven’t started implementation;
  that still needs your explicit go-ahead.
