Minds

Choose the right helper for the work

A mind is an AI helper with its own name, profile, conversations, and working style. Use different minds for different projects, roles, or routines.

What a mind is

A mind is a dedicated assistant inside Chamber. It can remember its own conversations, follow its profile, and help with the kind of work you assign to it.

  • Use one mind for one clear purpose when possible.
  • Name minds by role or project so they are easy to recognize.
  • Open the same mind later to continue its conversations.

Switch minds

Switching minds changes which assistant you are talking to. The chat, history, and related details update for the selected mind.

The mind sidebar is where you switch helpers and find profile, pop-out, and remove controls.
1

Open the mind list

Use the mind area in Chamber to view available minds.

2

Select a mind

Choose the mind you want. Its current conversation area appears.

3

Check the name before sending

Make sure the visible mind name matches the work you are about to discuss.

Add or remove minds

Add a mind when you want a separate helper. Remove a mind when you no longer need its setup or conversations.

Add a mind

  • Choose the option to add a mind.
  • Give it a short, meaningful name.
  • Describe what you want it to help with in plain language.

Remove a mind

  • Open the mind management options.
  • Choose remove or delete, then read the confirmation carefully.
  • Only continue if you are sure you no longer need that mind.

Use pop-out windows

Pop-out windows let you keep a mind visible while you work elsewhere. This is helpful when you want a separate assistant window on another screen or beside another app.

  • Open the mind options and choose the pop-out action when available.
  • Move or resize the window like any other desktop window.
  • Close the pop-out when you are finished. The mind remains available in Chamber.

Profiles and avatars

A profile tells a mind how it should present itself and what kind of help it should provide. An avatar makes the mind easier to spot at a glance.

  • Name: use a label you will recognize later.
  • Description: explain the mind's purpose in everyday words.
  • Instructions: add preferences, boundaries, or routines it should follow.
  • Avatar: choose or update the picture shown for the mind.

Import a Microsoft profile

If Chamber offers Microsoft profile import, use it to fill in profile details from your Microsoft account instead of typing them manually.

1

Start the import

Open the profile area and choose the Microsoft profile import option.

2

Review what was added

Check the name, photo, and details before saving them to the mind.

3

Edit anything that does not fit

Keep only the details you want Chamber to use for this mind.

Safety note

Removing a mind or changing its profile can affect future conversations. Read confirmations, keep work in the correct mind, and avoid putting passwords or private credentials in a mind profile.
