Getting Started

Open Chamber and start with one mind

Chamber is a desktop workspace for AI helpers called minds. This guide walks you through opening the app, signing in, choosing a mind, and finding your way around.

Install Chamber

Use the installer provided for your computer. When the installer finishes, Chamber appears with your other desktop apps.

1

Run the installer

Open the downloaded installer and follow the prompts on screen.

2

Allow the app if asked

Your computer may ask you to confirm that you want to open Chamber. Only continue if you downloaded it from a source you trust.

3

Keep Chamber updated

Updates may include fixes and safer behavior. Install them when Chamber offers them.

Open the app

Open Chamber the same way you open any desktop app. If it was already running, it may return from the tray or taskbar instead of starting a new copy.

Chamber main window with the mind sidebar on the left, chat in the center, and conversation history on the right.
The main layout keeps mind selection, chat, and conversation history visible in one workspace.
  • Use the Start menu, app launcher, dock, or desktop shortcut.
  • If you closed the window, look for Chamber in the tray or taskbar.
  • If the app seems stuck, close it fully and open it again.

Chamber needs an account so minds can use supported AI services. Follow the sign-in screen and return to Chamber when the browser or account window is finished.

  • Use the account your team or personal setup expects.
  • Do not share passwords, tokens, or private account details in chat.
  • If sign-in fails, try again after checking your network connection.

Create or open a mind

A mind is your AI helper. You can make a new one for a job, or open an existing one to continue where you left off.

1

Choose a starting point

Select an existing mind, or choose the option to add a new mind.

2

Name the mind clearly

Use a plain name such as Research Assistant, Project Planner, or Weekly Review.

3

Start with a simple request

Try a short message first, such as asking the mind to summarize your goal or plan the next step.

Main layout

Chamber is organized so you can choose a mind, talk with it, and review what it is doing without leaving the main screen.

  • Mind area: switch between minds and manage the current mind.
  • Chat area: send messages and read replies.
  • History: return to earlier conversations for the selected mind.
  • Panels: review tools, work logs, views, or other details when shown.
Safety note

Treat a mind like a capable assistant. Review important answers, approve only actions you understand, and avoid sharing secrets or sensitive personal information unless your organization has approved that use.
